Welcome to School of Journalism and Communication, Wuhan University!

School of Journalism and Communication derives from the Department of Journalism in 1983. In December 2013, School of Journalism and Communication, as the first batch of experimental units, was built by the Hubei provincial party Committee propaganda Department and Wuhan University. The school went into a new stage. Our school has gone through thick and thin for 20-30 years with good reputation, and many excellent students graduated from our school.

There are 61 full-time teachers in School of Journalism and Communication , including 22 professors (18 PhD. supervisors) and 22 associated professors. More than 90 percent of teachers have the experience of oversea visit study or academic exchanges in foreign countries. Also, there are more than 50 part-time professors, scholars and experts in media to hold lectures and give directions to students.

School of Journalism and Communication provides great research platform for the teachers and students. At present, School of Journalism and Communication, Wuhan University owns a key construction project of " 11th Five Year Plan" and " 211 Project" , a national innovation base of philosophy and social science of " 985 Project" , a key research base of humanities and social science of the Ministry of Education, and two source journals included in CSSCI. In addition, our school has established solid cooperative relations with many well-known schools and academic institutions at home and abroad.

Our teaching equipment is advanced. More than 400 pieces (sets) of experimental equipment and more than 50,000 volumes of books provide the students with a good environment for study and research.

However, even if we have so many things to be proud of, we still need to take efforts to become better. We should grasp the opportunity of the era, seeking the better and faster development.

Years of hardship have witnessed the great achievements. But if we stay in the past, we will reach a plateau. The bright future of our school is going to be created by our current students and graduates.
